ALMOND- CHICKEN SUPREME CASSEROLE

3 pound chicken legs and thighs
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup salad oil
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1 quart chicken broth or bouillon
1 can tomato sauce
3/4 cup almonds, blanched
1 cup mushroom buttons
1 Tablespoon parsley flakes
8 slices American cheese
Parsley ( garnish)
Combine 1/4 cup flour, salt and pepper ; roll chicken in mixture to coat well. Brown in salad oil ; place chicken in a large casserole. Saute onions in drippings, add 1/2 cup flour, tomato sauce and water. Add almonds, mushrooms and parsley to chicken cover with sauce. Bake 1 hour at 350 F. degrees. Top with cheese slices and garnish with parsley. Serve Rice.
