AMERICAN CHOP SUEY

4 oz uncooked macaroni

1 pound hamburger

1 medium onion, chopped

 1 cup diced celery

1 can tomato soup

1 soup can hot water

1 teaspoon salt

Dash of pepper

2 Tablespoon soy sauce

1/2 Cup American cheese, grated

Buttered bread crumbs

   Brown meat slowly; add onions and celery and cook. Combine all ingredients except cheese and bread crumbs. Put in buttered casserole. Cover and cook at 350 F degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and stir in cheese. Top with crumbs; continue baking for 15 minutes or until brown.

YIELD:  6 servings

Tuna Bake

Come with me to the year 1967, in the Great state of Kansas. When physical newspapers were a thing ( no internet). When basically almost all meals were cooked from scratch, there was some meal convenience foods...in which this recipe does use...casseroles were a thing as well...now on to the recipe ( sorry no photos due to tech issues)  What do you need for this recipe 1 package of Macaroni and cheese 3 Tablespoons  of soft Butter 1 cup tomatoes ( can use canned drained               Some) 1/2 milk 2 Tablespoons onion, minced 1 egg 1 can Tuna, drained 2 Tablespoons  Parsley,  snipped ( can         Use dried) 1/2 teaspoon  salt 2 Tablespoons  corn flake crumbs       ( can use more for top) A saucepan to mac n cheese 1 quart casserole dish  Oven Cook Macaroni and cheese as package directs, then add other ingredients.
