 Oh I just had to try this recipe, it intrigued me

BARBECUED GREEN BEANS

Submitted by Mrs. Sam Y. Schwartz

  1    quart green beans, drained well                  1/2 cup sugar

4 strips bacon                                                      1/2 cup catsup

1 onion

   Dice bacon and brown. Drain off part of the fat and add onion ( diced fine), 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup catsup. Add beans which have been drained. Simmer 10 or 15 minutes.

Serve.


I think this would be a great addition to those future barbeques or even those picnics or family get togethers...that will happen this summer and even in to the fall...a great taste for summer.

This is all of the recipes I will doing from this cookbook as of right now...but will have to visit it again...more recipes I want to try ...

Tuna Bake

Come with me to the year 1967, in the Great state of Kansas. When physical newspapers were a thing ( no internet). When basically almost all meals were cooked from scratch, there was some meal convenience foods...in which this recipe does use...casseroles were a thing as well...now on to the recipe ( sorry no photos due to tech issues)  What do you need for this recipe 1 package of Macaroni and cheese 3 Tablespoons  of soft Butter 1 cup tomatoes ( can use canned drained               Some) 1/2 milk 2 Tablespoons onion, minced 1 egg 1 can Tuna, drained 2 Tablespoons  Parsley,  snipped ( can         Use dried) 1/2 teaspoon  salt 2 Tablespoons  corn flake crumbs       ( can use more for top) A saucepan to mac n cheese 1 quart casserole dish  Oven Cook Macaroni and cheese as package directs, then add other ingredients.
