BEEF CRUST CASSEROLE

1 1/2 pound ground beef

1/2 cup onion, chopped

2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup catsup

2 cans cream of mushrooms soup

1 package frozen mixed peas and carrots

1/2 cup raw converted rice

1/2 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chow mien noodles

   Combine meat, onion, salt and catsup; line a 2 1/2 -quart casserole with mixture. Combine soup, vegetables , rice, water and salt. Mix well; pour into meat shell. Cover and bake at 350 F. degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Top with noodles; bake uncovered 15 minutes.\

YIELD: 6 Servings
