CHICKEN AND DRESSING ( SCALLOPED)

1 1/2 quart dry bread cubes

1 Tablespoon sage

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 cup sugar

1/4 cup onion, minced

1/4 cup celery, chopped

 1/2 cup butter, melted

1 ( 3 to 4 pound ) chicken, cooked

Chicken Broth

Ritz cracker crumbs, crumbled

   Combine bread cubes, seasonings, onion and celery ; add butter and mix well. Bone chicken, leaving meat in medium sized piece. Alternate layers of chicken and dressing in a greased baking pan. Slightly thicken and season broth ; pour over casserole to moisten. Cover with cracker crumbs ; bake at 375 F. degrees for 30 minutes. 

YIELD 6-8  Servings
