CHICKEN AND GRAVY CASSEROLE

1 ( 12 oz) package wide egg noodles

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 -1 1/4 cup canned chicken gravy

2 chicken bouillon cubes

1 cup boiling water

1 ( 2 oz) jar chopped pimento 

1 green pepper, finely chopped

1 Tablespoon dried onion flakes or 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

2 cup cooked chicken , coarsely diced

1/2 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

   Cook noodles according to directions on package' drain thoroughly. Combine chicken soup and chicken gravy. Dissolve bouillon cubes in water and add to soup and gravy. Add pimiento, green pepper, onion and chicken; heat thoroughly. grease 3- quart casserole. Layer chicken mixture and noodles. Put a layer of noodles on top. Sprinkle cheese over top of casserole. Bake at 350 F. degrees for 1 hour.

YIELD:  6-8 Servings

Tuna Bake

Come with me to the year 1967, in the Great state of Kansas. When physical newspapers were a thing ( no internet). When basically almost all meals were cooked from scratch, there was some meal convenience foods...in which this recipe does use...casseroles were a thing as well...now on to the recipe ( sorry no photos due to tech issues)  What do you need for this recipe 1 package of Macaroni and cheese 3 Tablespoons  of soft Butter 1 cup tomatoes ( can use canned drained               Some) 1/2 milk 2 Tablespoons onion, minced 1 egg 1 can Tuna, drained 2 Tablespoons  Parsley,  snipped ( can         Use dried) 1/2 teaspoon  salt 2 Tablespoons  corn flake crumbs       ( can use more for top) A saucepan to mac n cheese 1 quart casserole dish  Oven Cook Macaroni and cheese as package directs, then add other ingredients.
