CHICKEN-BEEF BAKE

1 1/2 pound ground beef

1 1/2 Tablespoon shortening

2 small onions, finely chopped

6 stalks celery, finely chopped

1 small can chow mien noodles

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

1 can condensed chicken and rice soup

1 soup can water

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

   Brown ground beef in shortening. Add onions and celery; simmer 10 minutes. Add half can chow mien noodles, soups, water, salt, and pepper; mix well. Put in a greased casserole; top with remaining noodles. Bake 35 minutes at 325 F. degrees.

YIELD: 6 Servings
