CHOP SUEY CASSEROLE

6 slices of bacon
1 pound hamburger
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/3 cup green pepper, chopped
1 No. 2 can tomatoes
1/2 cup catsup
Salt and pepper
Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/4 cup elbow macaroni
Fry bacon and drain . Pour off drippings reserving enough to saute onion and green pepper. Remover vegetables; brown hamburger. Return vegetables to pan with meat. Add tomatoes, catsup, seasonings and small amount of water. Simmer while cooking macaroni in salted boiling water. Drain macaroni and place in greased casserole. Add sauce, stirring into macaroni. Lay strips of bacon on top; refrigerate. Bake at 325 F. degrees until thoroughly heated.
