Meal-In-One Casserole


    

I think this may take awhile doing these recipes one day at a time...But hey they are out there...another recipe from Beef Casseroles from the home Economics cookbook


                                           Meal-In-One Casserole

1 pound round steak, cut 1/4 -inch thick

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

2 1/2 Tablespoon flour

2 Tablespoon far

1 1/2 onion, Sliced

3 potatoes, thinly sliced

1 cup canned tomatoes

1/2 teaspoon suage

1 teaspoon salt

1 Tablespoon catsup


Cut steak into 4 pieces. Combine salt, paprika, and flour in a paper bag ;dust meat in mixture. Brown meat in hot fat. Put meat in casserole; arrange onions and potatoes over meat. Stir remaining ingredients together; pour over casserole. Bake covered at 350 F. degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. If casserole becomes  dry; add a small amount of water or red wine

Yield: 4 servings
