NUTTY CASSEROLE

1 pound ground beef

 1 small onion, finely chopped

4 oz fine noodles

1/2 can evaporated milk

20 stuffed olives.sliced

1/4 pound cheese, grated

1 can chow mien noodles

Salted nuts, chopped

   Cook ground beef and onion until meat is almost cooked. Cook noodles and drain. Combine beef, noodles, milk and olives. Put into a casserole dish; cover with cheese. Bake covered at 350 F. degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven; cover with noodles and sprinkle nuts on top. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes longer.

YIELD: 8 Servings

Tuna Bake

Come with me to the year 1967, in the Great state of Kansas. When physical newspapers were a thing ( no internet). When basically almost all meals were cooked from scratch, there was some meal convenience foods...in which this recipe does use...casseroles were a thing as well...now on to the recipe ( sorry no photos due to tech issues)  What do you need for this recipe 1 package of Macaroni and cheese 3 Tablespoons  of soft Butter 1 cup tomatoes ( can use canned drained               Some) 1/2 milk 2 Tablespoons onion, minced 1 egg 1 can Tuna, drained 2 Tablespoons  Parsley,  snipped ( can         Use dried) 1/2 teaspoon  salt 2 Tablespoons  corn flake crumbs       ( can use more for top) A saucepan to mac n cheese 1 quart casserole dish  Oven Cook Macaroni and cheese as package directs, then add other ingredients.
