                         Round Steak Hot Dish

         This recipe was submitted by Valerie Vinje from North Dakota and 

                                                      Mrs. Mildred Anderson from Minnesota


1 1/2 pound round steak ,cubed

1 large onion, diced

1/2 cup celery. diced

1/2 cup instant rice

1 can chicken and rice soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 4-oz can whole mushrooms ( optional)

1 soup can water


  Brown steak, onion and celery in small amount of fat. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Add rice, soups, mushrooms, and water. Blend ingredients; bake at 350 F. Degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes

 Yield: 6 servings
