 TEXAS HAMBURGERS

3 1/2 pound hamburger

2 cup chopped onion

2 cup finely diced celery

1 cup chopped green pepper

2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

3 Tablespoon chili powder

1 ( 2- pound ) can tomatoes

1 ( 8 oz) can tomato paste

1 ( 8 oz) can tomato sauce

1 can enchilada sauce

2 cup corn chips

Grated Cheese

   Fry hamburger until well done. Remove meat from pan and saute onion, celery and pepper in drippings. Add all remaining ingredients except cheese and corn chips and simmer for at least 1 hour. Stir in corn chips; top with cheese. Bake in 350 F. degree oven until cheese is melted. NOTE: Place sauce, corn chips, grated cheese and minced onion on a buffet table and allow guests to build their own Texas Hamburgers if desired.

YIELD :  6-8 Servings
