TORTILLA CASSEROLE

1 pound hamburger

1 9 8 oz) can tomato sauce

1 cup water

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 package tortillas

1 cup grated cheese

1 small can chopped olives

 1 small onion, chopped

   Brown hamburger; add tomato sauce, water , garlic salt and chili powder. Simmer 20 minutes. In buttered 1- quart casserole dish , alternate layers of buttered tortillas, hamburger mixture, cheese , olives and onion, ending with grated cheese. Bake at 350 F. degrees for 20 minutes.

YIELD: 6 Servings

Tuna Bake

Come with me to the year 1967, in the Great state of Kansas. When physical newspapers were a thing ( no internet). When basically almost all meals were cooked from scratch, there was some meal convenience foods...in which this recipe does use...casseroles were a thing as well...now on to the recipe ( sorry no photos due to tech issues)  What do you need for this recipe 1 package of Macaroni and cheese 3 Tablespoons  of soft Butter 1 cup tomatoes ( can use canned drained               Some) 1/2 milk 2 Tablespoons onion, minced 1 egg 1 can Tuna, drained 2 Tablespoons  Parsley,  snipped ( can         Use dried) 1/2 teaspoon  salt 2 Tablespoons  corn flake crumbs       ( can use more for top) A saucepan to mac n cheese 1 quart casserole dish  Oven Cook Macaroni and cheese as package directs, then add other ingredients.
