DRIED BEEF CASSEROLE

1/4 pound sliced dried beef
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 package frozen green peas, cooked and drained
1/4 Tablespoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 ( 5 oz ) can chow mien noodles
Butter
Cut dried beef into bite- sized pieces., Cover with boiling water ; drain. Dilute soup with milk ; add to beef. Mix in celery, peas, garlic salt and pepper. Arrange in alternate layers with chow mien noodles in 1 1/2 quart buttered casserole, beginning and ending with noodles. Dot the top with butter. Bake at 375 F. degrees for 30 minutes. Garnish with chopped celery and sliced ripe olives, if desired.
