MEAT ' N' POTATO SUPPER

1 ( 12 oz) can luncheon meat, cut in strips

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 Tablespoon shortening

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

2 cup cubed potatoes, cooked

2 Tablespoon parsley, chopped

Salt

Dash of Pepper

   Lightly brown luncheon meat and onion in shortening. Blend in soup and milk. Add potatoes, parsley , salt and pepper. Cook over low heat about 10 minutes; stir.

YIELD: 4 Servings

Tuna Bake

Come with me to the year 1967, in the Great state of Kansas. When physical newspapers were a thing ( no internet). When basically almost all meals were cooked from scratch, there was some meal convenience foods...in which this recipe does use...casseroles were a thing as well...now on to the recipe ( sorry no photos due to tech issues)  What do you need for this recipe 1 package of Macaroni and cheese 3 Tablespoons  of soft Butter 1 cup tomatoes ( can use canned drained               Some) 1/2 milk 2 Tablespoons onion, minced 1 egg 1 can Tuna, drained 2 Tablespoons  Parsley,  snipped ( can         Use dried) 1/2 teaspoon  salt 2 Tablespoons  corn flake crumbs       ( can use more for top) A saucepan to mac n cheese 1 quart casserole dish  Oven Cook Macaroni and cheese as package directs, then add other ingredients.
