SCHOOL- DAY CASSEROLE

1 ( 6 oz ) package macaroni

1/4 to 1/2 pound dried beef

1/4 cup green pepper, chopped

4 Tablespoon butter

4 Tablespoon flour

2 1/2 cup milk

1 cup sharp American cheese , grated

     Cook the macaroni in boiling ,salted water 7 minutes ; drain. Cook meat in butter until edges curl. Add green pepper and ssaute. Blend in flour ; add milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add 3/4 cup cheese. Combine sauce and macaroni ; pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 F. degrees for 30 to 40 minutes .

NOTE : For less sauce use 3 Tablespoons butter and flour with 1 1/2 cup milk- yield - 6 Servings

YIELD: 6 Servings
