VIENNA SAUSAGE CREOLE

1 medium onion, sliced

1/2 green pepper, cut in strips

1/2 cup celery, sliced

2 Tablespoon shortening

1 No. 303 can tomatoes

1 ( 8 oz 0 can tomato sauce

1-2 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 ( 8 oz) can Vienna sausage , drained and cut in thirds

    In large frying pan cook onion, green pepper and celery in shortening for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings; mix well. Simmer for 10 minutes . Add sausage ; stir carefully. Heat thoroughly. may be served over rice.

YIELD: 4 Servings
