Barbecued Beef
This recipe is from the Rival Crockpot cookbook 1995. Rival first made crockpot in 1971
What will ya need for this recipe:
A crockpot
3 pounds beef roast ( did you know you could also use Venison for any beef recipe)
1 1/2 cups ketchup
2 Tablespoons Dijon style mustard
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Place Chuck roast in Crock-pot . Combine the remaining ingredients in mixing bowl. Pour barbecue sauce mixture over roast. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or 4-5 hours on high. Remove roast from crock pot and shred meat. Place shredded meat back into crock-pot. Stir meat to evenly cover with sauce. Spoon meat onto sandwich buns, or I think this would be great over noodles. Serves 12.
