Steamed Vegetables
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup cauliflower florets
1 red bell pepper, cut into wedges
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 Tablespoons oyster sauce
1 Tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 Tablespoon water
Steam vegetables, 5-6 minutes or until crisp tender ;set aside. To prepare sauce combine broth, oyster sauce, wine and white pepper in 1 1/2quart saucepan .Bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in water ; add to saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Arrange vegetables on serving platter. Pour sauce over vegetables; serve immediately.
