BARBECUED RIBS

4 pounds spareribs

2 Tablespoon butter

 1 medium onion, finely cut

4 Tablespoon lemon juice

2 Tablespoon vinegar

2 Tablespoon brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 cup catsup

3 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 Tablespoon ground mustard

1 cup water

1/2 cup celery or 1 Tablespoon celery salt

2 Tablespoon fat

   Brown ribs in fat on both sides in skillet. Place in baking pan. Melt butter ; brown onions. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over spareribs. Roast for 2 hours basting every half hour.

YIELD: 5  Servings
