FRUITED PORK CHOPS IN CASSEROLE

4 pork chops
2 Tablespoon shortening
1 onion, sliced
1 1/2 cup dried prunes
2 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 whole cloves
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup hot water
paprika
Brown chops in shortening. Pour off drippings. place chops in casserole and cover
with sliced onion. Arrange dried prunes around chops. Combine lemon juice, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cloves, salt, and hot water; pour over chops . Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and bake for 1 hour at 325 F. degrees.
YIELD: 4 servings
