GROUND BEEF AND WILD RICE CASSEROLE

 1/2 cup wild rice

1/2 cup regular rice

3 cup boiling water

6 Tablespoon onions, chopped

 4 Tablespoon bacon fat

1 1/2 pound ground beef

2 cans cream of chicken soup

2 ( 4 oz) cans sliced mushrooms and liquid

2 bouillon cubes dissolved in 1 cup hot water

1 teaspoon celery salt

1 teaspoon onion salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1 bay leaf, crumbled

1/2 cup chopped parsley, toasted ( optional)

'Chopped parsley ( optional)

  Pour boiling water over rice. Let stand 15 minutes and drain. Brown onion in fat; add meat and brown. Combine all ingredients. Let stand in casserole overnight. Bake at 325 F. degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

YIELD: 12 Servings
