GROUND BEEF CRUST CASSEROLE

2 pound ground beef

1 cup evaporated milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt

    Combine beef, milk and seasonings. Pat part of mixture into bottom and sides of a 2-quart casserole.

FILLING

7-8 slices bread , broken in pieces

1/2 medium onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup celery, finely chopped

1 teaspoon seasoning salt

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 cup butter, melted

2 strips of bacon

   Combine all ingredients except bacon. Fill meat center with bread filling; cover with reserved meat mixture. Seal meat edges so filling is completely enclosed. Place slices of bacon on top of meat. Cover with foil that has been punctured with small holes. Set in pan of water. Bake at 350 F. degrees for 30 minutes. Pour off any excess liquid before servings.
