HOLIDAY TURKEY CASSEROLE

6 Tablespoon butter

1 1/2 cup celery, diagonally sliced

1 medium onion, minced

6 Tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon salt

Dash of pepper

3 cup milk

3 cup milk

1 can cream of mushroom soup

2 cup cooked ham, cubed

2 cup roasted turkey, sliced or cubed

2 Tablespoon pimento, minced

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

3 Tablespoon cooking sherry

1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Parsley Sprigs

   Saute celery and onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper ; add milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add soup, ham, turkey, pimento, basil and Sherry ; add additional seasonings if desired. Pour into a 2 -quart casserole; top with cheese and refrigerate . Bake uncovered at 350 F. degrees for 1 hour. Garnish with parsley .

YIELD : 8 Servings
