LASAGNA ITALIANA

1 clove garlic, minced

1 medium onion, asliced

3 Tablespoon olive oil

1/2 pound Italian sweet sausage

1 pound ground beef

1 ( 8 oz) can tomato sauce

1 No. 2 can tomatoes

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon oregano

1 ( 8 oz) package broad noodles, cooked

1/2 pound sliced Mozzarella cheese

1/2 pound Ricotta cheese

1/3-1/2 cup grated Paremsan cheese

  Saute garlic, onion and crumbled beef in oil ; add sausage and brown. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes and seasonings., simmer 20-30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Place a layer of half the noodles in a rectangular baking dish ; cover with half of Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with half of Ricotta cheese ; cover with half of meat sauce. Top with half of grated cheese. Repeat layer. Bake at 350 F. degrees for 35 minutes. Cut in squares to serve.
