TAMALE PIE

1/3 cup salad oil

1 teaspoon butter

1 onion, minced

1 clove garlic, cut up

1 1/4 pound ground beef

1/4 pound ground pork

2 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 can cream-style corn

2 cans tomato soup

1/2 cup ripe olives

1 egg

1 cup milk

1 cup yellow cornmeal

  Heat oil and butter in skillet. Add onion, garlic, meats and seasonings ; cook until brown. Add corn, soup and olives ; mix well. Add egg, milk and corn meal. Pour into casserole. Bake in 350 F. degrees oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

YIELD : 8 Servings
