FRANKFURTER CROWN WITH CORN STUFFING

1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
6 Tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
2 ( 1 pound) cans cream-style corn
2 eggs, beaten
4 cup soft bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 1/2 pounds frankfurters, halved crosswise

Cook green pepper and onion in 4 Tablespoons butter until onion is golden but not brown. Add corn, eggs, soft bread crumbs and salt ; mix lightly. Combine dry bread crumbs with 2 Tablespoons butter. Place corn mixture in round baking dish, mounding in center ; sprinkle top with buttered crumbs. Bake uncovered at 350 F. degrees for 25 minutes ; stand frankfurters , cut end down, in a crown around edge of stuffing. Continue baking for 15 minutes longer.
YIELD: 6-8 Servings
